Well I was right, my cousin had a little girl - Amy Louise. She was born 5 days early on the 21st of May, which is pretty freaky coz my cousin’s identical twin sister’s baby was due on the same date two years ago, and she also had her baby 5 days early on the 21st of May! What else have I been up to hmm…oh yes, had a very exciting day last week when Man Utd won the Champions League, of course it went to penalties and I went completely mental (can’t cope with the stress!) but for once they actually went the way I wanted them to and we beat the southerners, result!! No thanks to Ronaldo though, what an idiot! Haven’t really been up to much since then, just been spending lots of time with my baby who finally finished uni and came home to me, but now he has buggered off back down south and will soon be in Italy soaking up the sun! Unlike me who is stuck in rainy Bacup, still waiting for my currently 6 months late birthday present - ironically a trip to Italy…..MEN! Other than dreaming about holidays I am getting increasingly bored by the day. I think you can only watch so much daytime TV before you start losing your mind. I have decided that tomorrow I am going to go to the Job Centre - ha! Like they will have anything other than production line work, no thank you. If all else fails I might have a wander round the valley to see if there is any barwork or similar jobs available. I can’t really be bothered working but I think it is silly to sit around doing nothing when I could be making some pennies. Especially as it’s going to be costing me £3145 in tuition fees this year - arrrrgh! Well wish me luck, I shall let you know how the job hunting goes (although if it continues to piss it down outside I doubt I will be going anywhere for a few days!) inabit! x

Not much to report today. Can’t believe how quickly doing nothing can get boring! I have spent months dreaming about the start of the summer holidays and now I have no clue what to do with myself. All I have been wanting to do since the start of the revision period is chill out and watch crappy daytime TV, but now I can do that to my heart’s content I don’t even want to. I’m almost tempted to apply for a summer job! Apart from setting the smoke alarm off this afternoon, the only excitement I have had all day is hearing that my missing box with my special little teddy bear Bertie has been found, and we will soon been reunited! Ooh and my uncle has just phoned to say that my cousin is in labour which means my new little second cousin is on the way!! We are all hoping for a girl because we were a generation of 6 girls and the three children born so far have all been boys and we don’t want them taking over! Everyone is convinced it’s another boy but I am keeping my fingers crossed. Anyway he/she will probably be with us by this time tomorrow so I shall let you know the verdict then!

This programme isn’t half confusing. Good job I have a computer scientist boyfriend to sort all my technical problems out! Today has been “one of those days” where most things that had the potential of going wrong went wrong. First of all my cat missed her vet’s appointment because she went for a wander, then my mum fell over carrying a box and hurt her knee, then about half an hour later I misjudged the distance between my cup and the coffee table, getting tea everywhere. As if that wasn’t enough excitement for one day we then discovered that one of the boxes I packed my uni stuff in to come home isn’t here and must still be in Oxford somewhere (probably with someone rooting through it as we speak), then we got a call from my sister to say that both the lifts in her tower block of flats weren’t working so she had to walk up 20 flights of stairs with her shopping! So all in all it hasn’t been a very lucky day for my family, except Polly of course, who sucessfully managed to skive off having her jab!
